Kerala is set to take another stride towards inclusive industrial growth as the Kerala Women Entrepreneurs’ Conclave 2025 is being held today at the Lulu International Convention Centre, Thrissur.
Organised by the Directorate of Industries and Commerce, the conclave aims to enhance women’s participation in entrepreneurship and promote technology-driven business ventures across the State. The event forms part of the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) project, implemented by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) with support from the World Bank.
Industries Minister P. Rajeeve had earlier unveiled the logo of the conclave, stating that the event will feature an exhibition and a single-window system linking entrepreneurs with banks, research institutions, and e-commerce platforms.
A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish, principal secretary, Industries Department, said the conclave represents a step towards a more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem. “Women are increasingly leading innovation across several sectors, and the government aims to provide them with the resources and networks necessary to scale up,” he said.
P. Vishnu Raj, director of industries and commerce, noted that the conclave would help participants showcase products, exchange ideas, and access institutional support.
The one-day event, chaired by R. Bindu, minister for social justice, brings together over 1,000 women entrepreneurs from across Kerala. It will focus on empowering women to embrace new technologies, expand market access, and scale up their enterprises.
The conclave builds on the success of Kerala’s Year of Entrepreneurship initiative, during which women accounted for 31% of all registered entrepreneurs — a milestone the State aims to strengthen further through such initiatives.
