Kerala industries minister P Rajeeve on Sunday laid the foundation stone for RCC Nutrafill’s Food Processing and Life Sciences Manufacturing Facility at Angamaly, marking the launch of what is billed as the state’s first integrated hub for food and life sciences. A traditional bhoomi pooja was also part of the ceremony.
The upcoming five-acre facility will combine cold storage, warehousing, research and development, logistics, and processing units for life sciences and FMCG products. According to RCC Nutrafill, the project is designed to set new benchmarks in innovation, quality, and sustainable manufacturing.
Rajeeve said the initiative reflects Kerala’s commitment to industrial growth powered by advanced technology. He assured the government’s full support, adding that the hub is expected to become a model for modern manufacturing in the state.
The project involves an investment of ₹100 crore, with the first phase scheduled for completion within 24 months. Once fully operational, the hub is expected to create around 500 direct and indirect jobs in two phases.
RCC Nutrafill director Sai Devarajulu Prasad said the facility will help strengthen Kerala’s position in the food processing and life sciences sector. “Our focus is on creating local employment, fostering skill development, and contributing to Kerala’s economic growth through sustainable innovation and a lasting industry ecosystem,” he said.
