Kochi will host what organisers describe as India's first public artificial intelligence (AI) literacy summit on July 3, bringing together students, professionals, entrepreneurs and educators to promote responsible AI adoption and digital skills.
Titled "Let's Talk AI", the day-long event will be held at Kinfra Hi-Tech, Kalamassery, from 9 am to 6 pm. It is being organised by Saina Human AI Pvt Ltd under the Keralam Future Skills Initiative (KFSI).
The summit will be inaugurated by Kerala industries minister PK Kunhalikutty. Higher education minister Roji M John will attend as the special guest.
Organisers expect between 300 and 500 participants from all 14 districts of Kerala, including students, working professionals, MSME owners and educators.
The event will feature three panel discussions focusing on AI's growing influence across education, business and innovation. The first session, "AI and the Future of Learning", will examine how AI is reshaping education and skills development. The panel will include Roji M John, AI educator and influencer Umer Abdusalam, and Nikhil Jose, State Engagement Officer at the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
The second discussion, "Adopting AI in Business", will explore practical AI adoption by enterprises and MSMEs. Speakers include Anoop Ambika, CEO of Kerala Startup Mission, and Jinu Ben of CDA.
The third session, "Build With AI", will focus on AI entrepreneurship and product development, featuring Adil Majeed, co-founder of ByteFlow, and Niyas MK, CEO of GrowthFather.
A key highlight of the summit will be the KFSI Pledge, in which around 500 participants are expected to simultaneously take a public pledge on the responsible use of AI. Organisers plan to submit the initiative to the India Book of Records.
The event will also include live AI demonstrations, an AI Experience Lab with six interactive hands-on stations, and a Student Voices segment featuring participants from across Kerala's 14 districts. The summit will also mark the formal public launch of the Keralam Future Skills Initiative.
Organisers said the summit aims to improve AI literacy among the public while encouraging ethical and responsible adoption of emerging technologies across education, business and society.
Entry to the summit is free.
