Dhanam News Desk

TiE Kerala will roll out the 2025 edition of TiE Women, a global initiative supporting women entrepreneurs, with a launch event on May 15 at the SCMS Muttom Campus in Cochin.

The event is part of TiE Global’s broader push to create inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystems and will bring together policymakers, founders, and startup enablers from across the state.

Learning, leadership & collaboration

This year’s launch will include a mix of learning sessions, leadership workshops, and curated networking designed to support women entrepreneurs at various stages of their journey.

Organisers say the event will focus on practical strategies for business growth, with discussions around funding access, leadership challenges, and peer support

Key speakers

The speaker list features a mix of bureaucrats, startup leaders, and business owners. Among those scheduled to speak are K Vasuki IAS, secretary for labour skills and animal husbandry, and K Meera IAS, sub-collector of Ernakulam. They will be joined by Anoop Ambika, CEO of Kerala Startup Mission, and other industry leaders including Nisha Jose, Jacob Joy, Vivek Kishna Govind, Geemon Korah, and Parveen Hafeez.

SCMS Group Director Indu Nair, entrepreneur Thankam Joseph, market expert Seshadrinathan Krishnan, and startup mentor Shiby PK will share their insights during the sessions.

Push for women leaders

Kerala has seen growing momentum around women entrepreneurship in recent years. Although exact data remains limited, informal estimates indicate an uptick in women-led ventures, especially in urban hubs like Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.

Observers note that events like these could play a catalytic role in bridging resource gaps and building long-term networks.
