The two-day Invest Kerala Global Investors Summit (IKGS) commenced at the Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Centre in Kochi, inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. State Industries Minister P. Rajeev presided over the event, uniting a distinguished array of dignitaries, industry leaders, and global representatives.
Among the prominent speakers were Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari (via online address), Union Minister for Industry and Commerce Piyush Goyal, and Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary. The summit also welcomed international guests, including UAE’s Minister of Economy, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, and Bahrain’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro.
Prominent industry leaders delivered special addresses at the event, including MA Yusuff Ali, Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu Group International; Sanjeev Puri, Chairman and Managing Director of ITC Ltd. and President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII); and Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZ Limited. Opposition Leader VD Satheesan was also in attendance. Chief Secretary Sarada Muraleedharan delivered the welcome address, while Principal Secretary (Industries) APM Mohammed Hanish concluded the proceedings with a vote of thanks.
The summit has drawn over 3,000 delegates, including representatives from leading global companies. Featuring 28 specialised sessions on diverse topics, the event will host more than 200 speakers, comprising industry pioneers, policymakers, and subject matter experts.
