Airlines divert, cancel flights following Iran-Israel conflict

Iran's missile attack on Israel send shockwaves through the global aviation industry. Numerous airlines forced to divert or cancel flights, disrupting travel plans of thousands.

Several airlines have diverted or canceled flights following Iran's missile attack on Israel.

Flight tracking website FlightRadar24 posted on social media platform X that 81 flights have been diverted, 16 airlines and 26 airports affected following the missile attack.

The situation is fluid, and more airlines may be affected.

Some of the airlines that have been impacted 

Flydubai: Canceled flights to Jordan, Iraq, Israel, and Iran.   

Emirates Airlines: Canceled all flights to and from Iraq, Iran and Jordan on October 2 and 3 diverted others.   

Qatar Airways: It has temporarily suspended flights to and from Iraq and Iran.

Kuwait Airways: According to news agency Reuters, the airliner "has adjusted the flight routes for some of its services, resulting in changes to destination timings."

Lufthansa: Diverted flights to Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Dubai back to Frankfurt.   

Swiss: Diverted a flight between Zurich and Dubai to Antalya, Turkey.

An Air France flight from Paris to Mumbai had to return after Iran closed its airspace. Passengers told dhanamonlne.com that Air France has arranged another flight at 8.30 in the evening, Indian time.

Other airlines may also be affected, depending on their flight paths and the evolving situation in the region.
