In the category of banks with a business turnover exceeding ₹10 lakh-crore, ICICI Bank has been chosen as the Dhanam bank of the year 2025.
In the category of banks with a business turnover below ₹10 lakh-crore, Bank of Maharashtra has won the Dhanam Bank of the Year 2025 award.
In the category of NBFCs with assets under management (AUM) exceeding ₹10,000 crore, Kerala-based Muthoot Finance has been won the Dhanam NBFC of the Year 2025 award.
Muthoottu Mini Financiers won the NBFC with AUM below ₹10,000 crore.
The Life Insurer of the Year 2025 award in the category of companies with assets under management (AUM) exceeding ₹1 lakh-crore has gone to Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
In the category of insurance companies with AUM below ₹1 lakh-crore, the award has been won by Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance.
Bajaj General Insurance has bagged the General Insurer of the Year 2025 award.
The Finance Person of the Year 2025 will be conferred on Dr N. Kamakodi, managing director and CEO of City Union Bank.
The winners of the Dhanam BFSI Excellence Awards were selected by an expert jury comprising TC Suseel Kumar, former managing director of LIC; A. Gopalakrishnan, senior partner at K. Venkatachalam Aiyer & Co.; Vivek Krishna Govind, senior partner at Varma & Varma Chartered Accountants; and Abraham Thariyan, former executive director of South Indian Bank.
The Dhanam BFSI Business Excellence Awards will be presented at the Dhanam BFSI Summit, to be held on Wednesday at Le Méridien Convention Centre, Kochi.
Organised by Dhanam Business Media, this marks the eighth edition of the prestigious BFSI Summit. The event will be inaugurated by Sundararaman Ramamurthy, managing director and CEO of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). He will also deliver the keynote address. Rajeshwar Rao, former deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India, will grace the awards night as the chief guest.
A fireside chat with George Alexander Muthoot, managing director of Muthoot Finance, will be another highlight of the awards evening.
