Building a technology company from Keralam and taking it to global markets without raising external capital is no small feat. F9 Infotech has done just that.

Founded in Kochi five years ago by technology architect and cybersecurity strategist Rajesh Radhakrishnan, the company has crossed the ₹100 crore revenue mark in FY26. It now has more than 500 clients, around 100 employees and a presence in seven international markets.

Its founders, Rajesh and Jayakumar Mohanachandran, however, see the ₹100 crore milestone as only the beginning.

“Our next goal is not merely ₹200 crore or ₹500 crore in revenue. We want to build a valuable global company,” they say.

Experience as the foundation

Rajesh, who has worked with companies such as Wipro, Redington and VMware, started F9 with cloud services.

Jayakumar, who had served as CIO of leading business groups in Keralam and global companies including McCormick, joined him as an equal partner in 2023 after quitting his job in Dubai.

Their combined experience became the company’s biggest initial asset.

F9 expanded from cloud services into cybersecurity and, more recently, artificial intelligence. The strategy has been to identify changing technology requirements among businesses and move quickly into emerging areas.

“Five years ago, AI was not part of our business plan. Today, it is indispensable. We move into new areas as the technology requirements of our clients evolve,” says the F9 team.

Global standards, from Kochi

F9 is positioning itself not simply as a technology services provider but as a technology system integrator that helps businesses solve complex digital challenges.

Its Centre of Excellence and regional headquarters are in Kochi, while Dubai serves as its global headquarters. The company also has offices in Kozhikode and Bengaluru.

Its international footprint extends to the US, UK, Canada, Kenya, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.

The company operates 24/7 Security Operations Centres in Kochi and Dubai, allowing it to continuously monitor threats and respond quickly to potential cyberattacks.

No external funding

One of F9’s distinguishing features is its funding strategy. The company has not raised external capital so far. Profits generated from the business have been reinvested into building technology capabilities, strengthening the team and expanding into global markets.

The founders also invested early in professional finance and management teams, bringing in executives with experience in multinational companies.

“We have maintained the same service-delivery standards followed by multinational companies from the beginning,” the F9 team says.

This approach has helped the company scale without depending on venture capital or acquisitions.

Beyond business

F9’s ambitions extend beyond revenue growth. The company is also working to strengthen cybersecurity awareness in Keralam. The first Kerala Cyber Suraksha Summit was held in Kochi in October 2025. As part of its outreach, F9 provided cloud and cybersecurity services, including 24/7 SOC support, free of cost to around 500 MSMEs.

The second edition of the summit is scheduled for September 5 at the Le Méridien Convention Centre in Kochi.

The company plans to launch cybersecurity foundation courses for schools and colleges and create a network of “cybersecurity ambassadors”.

For F9, the ₹100 crore milestone is therefore less about looking back and more about what lies ahead — building a globally respected technology company with its roots firmly in Keralam.
