Kerala-based edtech startup Eduport has found itself on a global stage after participating in a UNESCO-led event on the future of education. The meeting brought together policymakers, education leaders and innovators to discuss how technology can play a role in making learning more inclusive worldwide.

Eduport is behind Adapt AI, which it describes as India’s first adaptive learning technology. The platform is aimed at students in Classes 5–12 and those preparing for competitive exams like NEET and JEE. Instead of offering the same lessons to everyone, the tool analyses each student’s strengths and struggles before tailoring lessons to match their learning style.

Kerala’s startup story gains weight

For Eduport, participation in a UNESCO forum is a step into international circles, and for Kerala it highlights a shift in the state’s entrepreneurial image. Long associated with traditional industries, Kerala is now seeing startups enter global conversations with ideas that resonate beyond the state’s borders. Eduport’s presence suggests that homegrown ventures can find a place in shaping debates around future technologies and policies.

Growing footprint at home

Eduport, founded by Ajas Mohammed, says it has crossed 600,000 app downloads, delivered over 115 million learning hours, and sees around 7 hours of daily engagement from its users. The company has five residential campuses across Kerala and more than 2,000 students enrolled offline, alongside 1,00,000 monthly active users on its app. Its focus remains on bridging the gap between traditional classrooms and technology-driven personalised learning.

How far Eduport will go on the global stage remains to be seen, but the recognition at UNESCO is being viewed as an opening for collaborations and partnerships beyond India.
