Kochi will host the second India International Industrial-EV Expo and an Industrial Mega Summit on January 16-18.

The event is being organised by the Kerala State Small Industries Association (KSSIA) and Metromart, with support from the state's Department of Industries and Commerce and the Union Ministry of MSME. According to the organisers, the Industrial Mega Summit scheduled for January 17 will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The first edition of the event was held in December 2024 at the KINFRA International Convention Centre in Kakkanad.

The expo will have stalls displaying machinery and equipment from sectors such as engineering, food, plastics, chemicals, oil, gas, rubber, cashew and agriculture. Exhibitors from various Indian states and countries including China, UK, UAE, Germany, Korea and Japan are expected to present their technologies.

A separate EV and Green Energy pavilion will exhibit electric vehicles ranging from two-wheelers to trucks, along with solar and wind energy solutions.

Kerala Finance Minister KN Balagopal will inaugurate the expo on January 16. The closing ceremony on January 18 will be inaugurated by Union Minister of State George Kurian.

A three-day event

The venue, the Adlux International Convention Centre, Kochi, will host exhibitors and industry participants from different sectors. More than 20,000 trade visitors have signed up so far, and around six hundred exhibitors are expected.

Representatives from all 14 districts of Kerala, including industrialists associated with KSSIA and members of 18 sector-related organisations, will attend the events.

Several sessions, discussions and buyer-seller interactions will be held during the event. Help desks will be set up to connect interested visitors with machinery manufacturers and financial institutions. The MSME Ministry will also operate specialised information counters at the venue. Entry to the expo is free.
