The total business of Kerala Gramin Bank (KGB) reached ₹54,988 crore in the last financial year, marking a major milestone for the bank. It is particularly noteworthy that both deposits and advances have continued to grow steadily, reflecting consistent performance and customer trust.

The number of branches of the bank has remained stagnant at around 635 for the last few years. Why is this?

Kerala Gramin Bank currently operates over 635 branches and 12 regional offices across the state. This network has allowed us to reach almost every part of Kerala. Our focus now is on strengthening digital banking to bring services directly to customers’ doorsteps.

In the 2025–26 financial year, we plan to open new branches in areas that still lack access to formal banking. Alongside this, we are conducting outreach programmes to expand our reach.

As part of these efforts, social security camps are being organised in collaboration with NGOs and self-help groups, and digital marketing initiatives are being enhanced to connect better with the younger generation.
