Travlounge, a roadside facility project aiming to make travel breaks less grim and more structured, has raised ₹25 crore in a second round of funding from the Gokulam Group. The initiative, originally launched by Azcco Global in collaboration with Beacon Group, is now stepping into its next phase with both fresh capital and new digital tools.

The Travlounge concept was first rolled out two years ago, backed by an ₹8 crore investment from Azcco Global, a Middle East-based firm.

The company is setting up centres equipped with lounges, sleeping pods, tea and coffee counters, and clean toilets. These facilities are meant for both long-distance and short-distance travellers—essentially anyone making a pit stop.

Its second location is now operational at Adimali in Idukki district, hinting at a phased rollout in other parts of the country.

Addition of a digital layer

Alongside the physical facilities, Travlounge has also gone digital. A mobile app was launched during an event in Kozhikode on June 18. The app is designed to help users plan and manage their journeys with real-time information about Travlounge locations and services.

Kerala’s Public Works and Tourism Minister P A Mohamed Riyas launched the app at the function, which also saw attendance from Gokulam Gopalan of the Gokulam Group, Mamta Mohandas, the brand ambassador, and Azcco Global MD Aziz Chovvanchery, and Travlounge director Shamnas.
