Varma Homes has launched Wellage Praana by Varma, a luxury senior living apartment project near Kochi International Airport. Singer and Padma Bhushan awardee Dr K. S. Chithra inaugurated the project.
Chithra said Wellage was intended to help senior citizens live as a community instead of becoming isolated as younger generations move overseas for employment.
Senior citizens should evaluate such projects in the right perspective and recognise that some of the best facilities are being created for them, she said. Chithra also said she was booking a home in the project.
Dr Mini Varma, director of Varma Homes, said Wellage Praana by Varma was being developed on the model of a joint-family system.
Architects Koshy P. Koshy and Tinku also spoke at the event.
K. Anil Varma, managing director of Varma Homes, said the company strives to offer customers the best value for their money.
More than 30 Varma Homes projects are currently under way, while the company has completed and handed over 15 projects, he said.
Varma Homes vice-presidents Arathy Varma and Vaisakh Varma also attended the event.
