Vishnu Bhavan Frozen Foods, promoted by the Vishnu Namboothiri Group, the original founders of the well-known Brahmins food brand, has launched its premium range of ready-to-eat frozen Kerala snacks and vegetarian dishes in the Indian market.
According to Sreenath Vishnu, managing director of Vishnu Bhavan Frozen Foods, the products are manufactured using advanced blast-freezing technology without preservatives, helping retain the taste, freshness and nutritional value of traditional Kerala cuisine.
The initial product portfolio includes 12 frozen food items featuring popular Kerala snacks, vegetarian dishes and curries. The products were unveiled by Kuruvilla Mathew, business head of Vishnu Bhavan at the launch event held in Kochi.
The company operates a modern manufacturing facility at Thodupuzha with an annual processing capacity of 18 lakh kilograms. In the first phase, Vishnu Bhavan products will be distributed across Kerala through supermarkets and selected grocery outlets.
The Vishnu Namboothiri Group traces its origins to a small bicycle-based food delivery business started in 1968. The enterprise gradually expanded and went on to launch the Brahmins brand in Thodupuzha in 1987, which later became one of Kerala's most recognised packaged food brands.
After Wipro Enterprises acquired the Brahmins brand in 2023, the group continued as an exclusive manufacturing partner, leveraging its expertise in food production.
Under the new Vishnu Bhavan brand, the company is now seeking to build a stronger presence in both Indian and overseas markets while focusing on authentic vegetarian Kerala cuisine.
