Fears of higher interest rates have eased significantly. Crude oil prices remain relatively stable, while Iran faces mounting economic pressure. The US has said there will be no talks with Iran unless attacks in the Strait of Hormuz stop.

Vice-President JD Vance's call for lower interest rates could also add pressure on the Fed.
