Blinkit, the quick commerce platform owned by Zomato, has introduced a 10-minute delivery service for smartphones and feature phones. CEO Albinder Dhindsa announced the initiative through social media platforms like LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter), stating, "Now get smartphones and feature phones delivered in just 10 minutes!" Customers in Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, and Mumbai can now receive select phones within minutes of placing an order.
The company has teamed up with phone manufacturers Xiaomi and Nokia to bring this service to its users. Dhindsa shared the update online, highlighting that models such as the Redmi 13 5G, Redmi 14C, iPhone 16, and Nokia 105 are currently available for delivery via the Blinkit app. He also mentioned that more brands and models are expected to be added soon. Customers can also take advantage of no-cost EMI options on most of these devices.
Earlier this month, Blinkit expanded its product offerings to include electronics such as laptops, monitors, and printers. Dhindsa noted, "You can now get laptops, monitors, printers and more delivered in 10 minutes!" Products from brands like HP, Lenovo, Zebronics, MSI, and Canon are now available for quick delivery in several metro cities, including Delhi NCR, Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Lucknow.
This move puts Blinkit in direct competition with other quick commerce players such as Zepto and Instamart, who have also been expanding their offerings beyond groceries. As the competition in the rapid delivery space intensifies, it remains to be seen how consumers respond to the availability of tech gadgets at their doorstep within minutes.
