Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services, has announced its acquisition of Coastal Cloud, a US-based Salesforce summit partner, in an all-cash deal worth $700 million (₹6,500 crore). This acquisition marks a significant milestone in TCS’ ongoing strategy to expand its Salesforce consulting capabilities and fortify its position as one of the top firms in the global Salesforce ecosystem.

Addition to TCS’ salesforce capabilities

Founded in 2012, Coastal Cloud is a leading multi-cloud Salesforce consulting firm that specializes in helping enterprises with AI-driven business transformations. The firm works with clients to reimagine and redefine critical business functions such as sales, service, marketing, revenue, and commerce — all while leveraging the full potential of the Salesforce platform.

Coastal Cloud holds the highest tier of Salesforce partnership, enabling it to offer advanced advisory services and AI-driven solutions to help businesses scale their Salesforce infrastructure. Coastal Cloud’s longstanding customer relationships and influence on the Salesforce partner advisory board have granted it a strategic position to guide product innovations and develop services in line with Salesforce's latest updates.

The mid-market segment

With the acquisition of Coastal Cloud, TCS gains access to a significant part of the mid-market customer segment, which is critical for driving growth in the Salesforce consulting and advisory space. This strategic move follows TCS’ October 2025 acquisition of ListEngage, another Salesforce Summit Partner with expertise in Agentforce, Marketing Cloud, and Commerce Cloud.

The synergies between Coastal Cloud’s customer base and TCS’ existing clients will allow both companies to create deeper and more expansive service offerings. Through this acquisition, TCS will be able to cater to an even broader spectrum of industries and verticals, providing enterprise clients with the expertise they need to drive end-to-end transformations using Salesforce’s multi-cloud solutions.

The acquisition also brings over 400 seasoned multi-cloud specialists with more than 3,000 multi-cloud certifications to TCS’ growing Salesforce team. These highly skilled professionals, led by Eric Berridge, a Salesforce veteran, will add significant value to TCS’ advisory and business consulting capabilities. With this new talent, TCS is positioning itself as one of the top five Salesforce advisory and consulting firms globally.
