Kerala’s business community is getting ready for a major gathering on June 25, as the 17th edition of Dhanam Business Summit & Award Nite returns to Kochi. The venue this year is Le Meridien Convention Centre, and the event will once again shine a light on those who’ve left a lasting mark on the state’s business landscape.
Topping the honours list is Jose Dominic, co-founder of CGH Earth. He’ll be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award, a recognition that has previously gone to industry heavyweights like PNC Menon of Sobha Group, M P Ramachandran of Jyothy Labs, Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan, and Federal Bank’s Shyam Srinivasan.
Dominic’s work in shaping sustainable tourism and hospitality has earned him a spot in this exclusive club.
The 2025 Businessman of the Year award winner is Joy Alukkas, who heads one of the country’s largest jewellery retail networks. Venkittaraman Ramachandran, whole-time director and chief operating officer at V-Guard Industries Ltd, has been named Business Professional of the Year.
This year’s Woman Entrepreneur of the Year is Danesa Raghulal, executive director of Elite Group. Also on the honours list is CloudSEK, a rising player in the cybersecurity space. Its founder and CEO, Rahul Sasi, will receive the Dhanam Startup Award.
Producer, Guneet Monga, whose films have earned global acclaim and Oscar wins, will be gracing the event as the Guest of Honour and will speak about her successful and inspiring journey in the film industry.
One of the much-anticipated parts of the summit will be the release of the Dhanam Powerlist — a list featuring Kerala-based companies with annual revenues of ₹1,000 crore or more. It could offer fresh insights into who’s driving large-scale enterprise in the state, and which sectors are pulling ahead.
With a mix of legacy builders, startup innovators, and global talent, the evening could turn into more than just an awards show — possibly a barometer of where Kerala’s business momentum is heading next.
