Pune Gas has set up its first commercial and industrial LPG based experience centre in Kerala. The new facility will launch in Kochi on May 25 in the presence of the Tripunithura MLA, K. babu
This is Pune Gas’s sixth experience centre across India, but the first to come up in Kerala. According to company officials, the centre was set up keeping in mind the rising energy demands of the state's hospitality, food service, and commercial sectors.
The idea appears to be to give local businesses a hands-on look at newer gas technologies, possibly encouraging them to move away from conventional fuel options like diesel.
It’s not a store or sales outlet, but more of a hands-on demonstration hub. It gives businesses the opportunity to interact with real-time gas systems, understand how they work, and assess whether such solutions suit their specific operational needs.
It’s essentially a testbed, allowing potential customers to explore options, ask questions, and understand how these systems could help them reduce energy costs and improve efficiency.
Rishi Menon, director of the Kochi centre, hinted that such centres could benefit businesses across size categories — from small setups to large-scale units — especially if they’re trying to balance profitability with sustainability. If adopted widely, these solutions could also support Kerala’s efforts in achieving more sustainable industrial development.
