The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Kerala State Council has picked its new leadership for the 2025-26 term. Shalini Warrier, an executive director at Federal Bank and the head of its retail banking division, will serve as the chairperson. Joining her as vice chairman is VKC Razak, the chairman and managing director of VKC Footgear Private Limited.

Shalini Warrier is no stranger to leadership roles in industry circles. She has held various positions in the CII Indian Women Network (IWN) at both the state and regional levels in South India. At Federal Bank, she has been at the forefront of efforts to expand the bank’s presence in the retail sector. She also sits on the board of Ageas Federal Life Insurance Company as a nominee director.

VKC Razak, meanwhile, brings experience from the footwear manufacturing industry. As the head of VKC Corporate House, he has played a key role in developing new materials for footwear production, including microcellular PVC and air-injected PVC. These innovations have reportedly had a major impact on the industry, though how they continue to shape the market remains to be seen.

With their backgrounds in banking and manufacturing, the new leadership duo could bring diverse perspectives to CII Kerala’s agenda. What specific initiatives they will drive remains to be seen, but their roles put them at the helm of shaping industry discussions in the state for the year ahead.
