Gosree Finance Ltd (GFL), a non-banking financial company based in Kochi, has named Shalini Warrier as its new chief executive officer and co-promoter. The appointment will be effective from June 2, 2025.
Warrier is currently an executive director at Federal Bank and is expected to leave the role soon to join Gosree. With this, she begins a new phase in her career in the NBFC sector.
Before joining Federal Bank, Warrier spent 25 years with Standard Chartered Bank, working in India as well as Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, and the UAE. Her areas of experience include retail banking, digital transformation, and risk management.
A chartered accountant she topped the all-India CA exam in her batch. She has also been involved with industry groups like the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), especially through its women’s network in South India.
Gosree Finance said the leadership change comes at a time when the company is looking to strengthen its operations and reach. The NBFC focuses on lending to micro and small enterprises and aims to expand its digital offerings.
Chairman and managing director Vishu Ramachandran said Warrier’s experience in banking and customer engagement would support Gosree’s growth plans.
T.S. Anantharaman, director at Gosree, noted that the company continues to prioritise transparency and investor confidence. He said Warrier brings both professional experience and strong personal values to the role.
Gosree Finance Ltd is registered with the Reserve Bank of India and operates across Kerala and Tamil Nadu, with a growing presence in other southern states. The company provides credit to underserved segments, including entrepreneurs and individuals, with a focus on responsible and inclusive lending.
