On Friday, the market breadth was negative with 1229  stocks rising, 1337  falling, and 112 remaining unchanged.

The Sensex closed 33 points, or 0.04 percent, up at 81,086.21, while the Nifty 50 ended 12 points, or 0.05 percent, up at 24,823.15.

Wipro and Infosys declined by 1.05%, Mindtree by 1.45%, Persistent by 1.5%, and Mphasis by 2.3%.

The positive trend will continue if the Nifty moves above the intraday resistance of 24850. 

Investors continue buying; no let-up in selling pressure; foreigners back as buyers; crude oil prices rise.

The Nifty 50 ended the day 41 points or 0.17 percent, higher at 24,811.50 with 27 stocks in the green; the Sensex closed 148 points, or 0.18 percent, up at 81,053.19.

Kalyan Jewellers promoter T.S. Kalyanaraman acquired 2.42 crore shares from foreign investors Heidel Investment at ₹535 per share, investing ₹1,300 crore.

The positive trend will continue if the Nifty stays above the intraday support of 24750.
